Itinerary
Monday
Depart Leyland at 10.00hrs for our journey to Harrogatge going straight there to make the most of our day, enjoy free time to explore the elegant spa town with time to obtain lunch, perhaps treat yourself and pre-book a Bettys afternoon Tea or take time to browse the high-end independent shops and high street favourites, the choice is yours. Re-join the coach at 15.30hrs as we take you to the hotel for check in.
Tuesday
visit with guided tour to Allerton Castle and Gardens followed by free time in Knaresborough with time to explore and obtain lunch, wander medieval streets and stone staircases that weave their way up and down hill of the town perched on the cliffs above the River Nidd with an imposing railway viaduct across the Nidd Gorge. At the base of the cliffs sits the delightful promenade of this historic town filled with quirky little shops, cosy cafes and delightful tea rooms.
Wednesday
Visit the historic walled city of York plenty free time to explore and obtain something delicious for lunch. The city is filled with 5-star historic attractions, perhaps visit beautiful York Minster the iconic landmark or The National Railway Museum a free attraction to immerse yourself in the home of iconic locomotives, go time travelling in the delightful York Castle Museum or sit back and relax on a leisurely River Ouse cruise to name a few, the choice is yours today, you won't be disappointed and York will leave you wanting more.
Thursday
Take a scenic drive to picturesque Grassington travelling through a beautiful area of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Grassington is located in Upper Wharfdale, the beating heart of the Yorkshire Dales and is home to the fictional town of Darrowby in the new series of All Creatures Great and Small. We allow time here to explore and obtain lunch before returning to the hotel for time at leisure in Harrogate.
Friday
Check out of our hotel following a leisurely breakfast for the return journey home with a lunch stop in Skipton on market day en-route. Re-join the coach at 15.00hrs to continue our journey home.
